Hallmark confirmed back in November that Season 4 will be the show’s last. It is already in the can and slated to premiere in spring 2026. Yes, 2026. That is a long runway, but consider it your heads-up to catch up without stress.
Chyler Leigh gets candid
Leigh, 43, stars as Kat and also wears an executive producer hat. On the last day of filming, she posted a teary photo and left a message that pretty much sums up how attached this cast is to the series.
"Last day of filming The Way Home... Gutted doesn’t even come close to the feeling. The most beautiful journey I’ve been on in my life. Definitely something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving."
She has talked about how the show’s warmth and time-bending family drama pushed her as an actor while also giving her a weirdly steady sense of comfort and purpose. She credits the close-knit cast, calls the project one of the most meaningful of her career, and made a point to thank the fans who stuck with the Landry family’s saga. If that sounds like a farewell-love-letter hybrid, that is because it kind of is.
