Inside Juliette Lewis & Brad Pitt's Four-Year Affair That Defined Early 90s

Approaching his 60th birthday, Brad Pitt is still recognized as the ultimate celebrity heartthrob who has dated many famous and gorgeous women during his years in Hollywood. Back in the early 90s, when Pitt's acting career was still in its infancy, he met actress Juliette Lewis, who was 10 years younger than him.

Their relationship was relatively short, spanning only four years, but many fans still remember the couple and their beautiful era-defining romance.

Pitt and Lewis met in 1989 on the set of Too Young to Die?, where they starred as Amanda, a teenager, and Billy, a manipulative man whose actions led to Amanda being sentenced to death despite all the extenuating circumstances.

Both their careers and relationship took off after the movie. The two actors attended the 1992 Academy Awards ceremony together and then starred alongside each other in 1993's Kalifornia. Their roles in the new film were similar to those they played in Too Young to Die?, as Pitt portrayed a psychopathic maniac and Lewis was his abused girlfriend.

Unfortunately, their happiness didn't last much longer. A few months before the release of Kalifornia, Brad left Juliette for an unknown reason. In 2011, the actor shared a couple of words about his relationship with Lewis, and it looks like Pitt was even a bit remorseful about the breakup.

'It was one of the greatest relationships I've ever been in. The problem is, we grow up with this vision that love conquers all, and that's just not so, is it?' he said.

A few years before that, Juliette Lewis also spoke about her relationship with Pitt. Like her ex, the actress was also quite melancholic and said many sweet words about Brad and the wonderful romance they shared.

'I hope he finds happiness because I genuinely loved him. He's a very stand-up, good guy. Four years was an eternity at that time. We're strangers now. Isn't that weird? I don't know him as an adult, and he doesn't know me,' the star shared.

Juliette was only 17 when she met the actor, and the romance with Pitt was her first public relationship. Just like her glorious ex, Lewis has built an impressive career since then, most recently starring in the series Yellowjackets and continuing to perform with her band Juliette and the Licks.

Lewis appears to be single at the moment, while Pitt is reportedly dating jewelry designer Ines de Ramon, formerly married to The Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley.
