Hunt Down Every GTA Online Ghost: Your Complete Ghosts Exposed Event Guide
Los Santos is getting haunted: the Ghost Exposed treasure hunt is back in GTA Online. Starting at 19:00 in-game, you’ve got one in-game hour—just two real minutes—to photograph roaming spirits and score $250,000, RP, and the Ghost Exposed Cap. Move fast before the phantoms fade.
Spooky season means Rockstar flipped the switch on GTA Online's Ghost Exposed hunt again. If you want the easy cash and the goofy hat, here’s the full route, the timing, and the one cameo that made me laugh out loud.
How it works
Starting at 7:00 PM in-game, a ghost pops up every in-game hour. Each window is short — one in-game hour equals about two real minutes — so you do not have time to wander. Keep your distance when you spot one; get too close and it vanishes. Bring something fast and nimble (hello, Oppressor MK2) and use the in-game camera to snap each ghost. Finish the whole run and you pocket $250,000, RP, and the Ghost Exposed Cap.
All ghost windows and locations
- 7:00 PM: Pacific Bluffs Cemetery — Check both the church roof and one of the graves; it can appear at either spot.
- 8:00 PM: Sandy Shores — Head to the trailer and eyeball both sides for the spawn. Do not crowd it.
- 9:00 PM: El Burro Heights — On the east side of Los Santos. It shows up either on the tower or hovering above the tribute sign.
- 10:00 PM: San Chianski Mountain Range/Grapeseed — By the abandoned bus; it can be on either side.
- 11:00 PM–12:00 AM: Richman/Vinewood Hills — Miguel Madrazo's mansion. Look up at the tower.
- 1:00 AM: Cassidy Creek/Raton Canyon — At the train tunnel. Check the top of the tunnel or the west side of the bridge.
- 2:00 AM: Rockford Hills — The church. Stand in the small parking lot next to it for a clean view of both potential spots.
- 4:00 AM: Great Chaparral — Another church. It appears either on the western roof or on the grave to the right.
- 5:00 AM: East Vinewood — The motel just below the casino. Look for it on the upper level, top-right or top-left corners.
- 12:00 AM (next day): Vinewood — The theater where Michael offed Jay Norris in single-player. Yes, it is Jay Norris. Snap him and you are done. Getting back to midnight takes about 30 minutes of real time.
Handy pacing notes
The schedule gives you a couple breathers: there is a gap after midnight before the 1:00 AM sighting, and another lull between 3:00 AM and 4:00 AM. Use those to reposition, swap vehicles, or just charge your real-life controller before the final stretch. The last photo is the deep-cut story nod that ties the whole thing together.
