Confused by Arrowverse chronology? Then this is for you.

Navigating the various Arrowverse crossovers to watch them in the right order is tough.

So, we’ve put together this list to guide you and avoid confusion or spoilers.

  1. Flash vs. Arrow

The inaugural crossover first aired in 2014. It featured one episode in each of the respective shows that saw the two superheroes collaborate to track down a killer using lethal steel boomerangs to terrorise both of their cities.

  1. Heroes Join Forces

The 2015 crossover introduced what would become Legends of Tomorrow. It features a host of superheroes as Team Flash and Team Arrow battle Vandal Savage to protect Hawkman and Hawkgirl and destroy the Staff of Horus.

  1. Invasion!

2016 saw the first time characters from Supergirl appeared in a crossover. It was also the first to crossover more than two shows. As Dominators threaten the earth, The Flash and Green Arrow call on Supergirl and the Legends to help defeat the invaders.

  1. Crisis on Earth-X

Another 4-part crossover, this 2017 offering saw our heroes get back together to take on Nazis from Earth-X who invaded – and interrupted the marriage of Barry Allen and Iris West! This was the show that set up Freedom Fighters: The Ray.

  1. Elseworlds

2018’s crossover event was the first to include Batwoman – and also featured Superman. On Earth-1, psychiatrist John Deegan, uses a powerful book to rewrite history. Barry Allen and Oliver Queen then wake up to find they’re living the other’s existence. Not believing it, Team Flash locks the pair up and they must use each other’s abilities to escape and set things right.

  1. Crisis on Infinite Earths

The biggest crossover event yet, 2019’s included characters from outside the Arrowverse. Reality is threatened by the antimatter wave and the largest-ever gathering of Arrowverse superheroes is required to stop it. The crossover also featured in Black Lightning, Season 3, Episode 9: The Book of Resistance: Chapter Four: Earth Crisis.

  1. Armageddon

The first without Oliver Queen, this was a five-show lead-in to The Flash season 8, and is not considered a genuine crossover by showrunner Eric Wallace. Psychic alien Despero arrives on Earth believing Barry Allen will be responsible for an upcoming Armageddon. Proving otherwise involves getting to grips with different timelines – and the help of allies.
