House of Guinness isn’t renewed yet, but creator Knight wants more — and with Netflix known to decide fast, a Season 2 greenlight could come soon, pointing to a possible 2027 return.

If you just finished The House of Guinness and are already asking where Season 2 is… same. Here is the deal right now, minus the fluff.

Where things stand

Netflix has not officially renewed The House of Guinness for a second season yet. Steven Knight (yes, the Peaky Blinders guy who created this too) wants to keep the story going, but there is no formal go-ahead. A release date is unknown. If Netflix does pick it up, the current expectation floating around is a 2027 launch window, and it would stream on Netflix.

"I am not allowed to say anything, but I am nodding. I would love… I am not saying this is what is going to happen, but I would love to take it up to now."

That is Knight talking to The Irish Sun about the odds of Season 2. In other words: he is in, but until Netflix says yes, it is wishful thinking.

  • Status: Not renewed as of now
  • Creator interest: Steven Knight is openly keen to continue
  • Greenlight timing: Reports suggest Netflix can make the call fast (around a week), but it still needs formal confirmation
  • Release timing if renewed: Potentially 2027
  • Where it would stream: Netflix
  • Premise: A pulpy period saga set after Sir Benjamin Guinness dies in 1868, with his four kids — Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Ben — fighting over the brewing empire across 19th-century Dublin and New York. Expect ambition, betrayal, and legacy dramas in heavy rotation.
  • Cast: Anthony Boyle, Louis Partridge, Emily Fairn, Fionn O'Shea, David Wilmot, James Norton, Jack Gleeson, Niamh McCormack, Seamus O'Hara, Dervla Kirwan, Michael McElhatton, Danielle Galligan, Hilda Fay, Cassian Bilton, and more

The inside-baseball part

The weird wrinkle here is that Netflix reportedly can decide on a renewal in roughly a week. That sounds fast because it is — but even if they pull the trigger internally, we still have to wait for a public announcement. Translation: nothing is real until Netflix says it is.

Bottom line: there is no Season 2 announcement yet, no release date, and no production news. Knight wants to do it, Netflix would be the home again, and if the stars align, pencil in 2027. I will update when Netflix stops playing coy.
