Holland and 4 Other Most Anticipated Online Releases in March 2025

This month is filled with exciting premieres not only in theaters, but also on online platforms.
From the most expensive Netflix movie with a Stranger Things star to a dark thriller starring Nicole Kidman, we bring you the top online releases of the first month of spring.
1. The Electric State
Release Date: March 14, 2025
Streaming Platform: Netflix
After The Gray Man and Extraction 2, Joe and Anthony Russo release The Electric State, a $320 million adaptation of retrofuturist Simon Stålenhag's graphic novel.
Netflix has turned a series of original artwork that oozes post-apocalyptic melancholy into a fast-paced, action-packed thriller. An orphan sets out to find his brother, accompanied by a charismatic drifter and a yellow robot.
2. The Parenting
Release Date: March 13, 2025
Streaming Platform: Max
The Parenting is a comedy horror about parents who meet each other in a bad way. Rohan and Josh rent a country house for a celebratory get-together, but the already awkward event is disrupted by the awakening of a 400-year-old ghost.
It's hard to imagine how the creators will be able to combine two extremely different storylines, but with a cast like Brian Cox, Dean Norris and Lisa Kudrow, nothing is impossible.
3. O'Dessa
Release Date: March 20, 2025
Streaming Platform: Hulu
O'Dessa is a fantasy musical about a farm girl who goes in search of a family heirloom, unexpectedly falls in love, and decides to challenge the local elite.
It looks as wild as it sounds: acid colors, futuristic decor, camp costumes, pleasant bangers on the soundtrack, and Murray Bartlett as the villain nicknamed Plutonovich.
4. Borderline
Release Date: March 14, 2025
Streaming Platform: TBA
Borderline is the directorial debut of Cocaine Bear screenwriter Jimmy Warden, which promises to be a stellar performance for Ray Nicholson.
The actor plays a fan of a pop star who has lost touch with reality, who sneaks into the house of his idol, takes her hostage and prepares everything for the wedding ceremony.
With such a plot, it is hard not to think of the underrated Australian horror The Loved Ones, but we have no doubt that Warden will have something to surprise the audience.
5. Holland
Release Date: March 27, 2025
Streaming Platform: Amazon Prime Video
The movie tells the story of a schoolteacher in a provincial Canadian town where the inhabitants honor Dutch cultural traditions. Surrounded by tulips, windmills and wooden shoes, the woman realizes that her ideal life is a lie: together with a colleague, she begins to investigate the town's terrifying secrets.
In 2017, Nicole Kidman decided to work with female directors every year and a half – Holland is exactly from this category. In addition to Nicole Kidman, the film stars Gael Garcia Bernal, Matthew Macfadyen and Rachel Sennott.
