ENA deploys Heroes Next Door, the action K-drama also known as UDT: Our Neighborhood Commando, landing this November at 10 PM KST with a powerhouse ensemble led by Yoon Kye-Sang, Jin Sun-Kyu, Kim Ji-Hyun, Ko Kyu-Pil, and Lee Jung-Ha.

ENA has a new action K-drama on deck that basically asks: what if your friendly neighbors used to be absolute monsters in the special forces? It is called 'Heroes Next Door' (also going by 'UDT: Our Neighborhood Commando'), and the vibe is retired elite operators putting the cul-de-sac ahead of country.

The setup is clean. In the quiet Changri Neighborhood, a handful of former special forces and counter-terror folks have gone fully civilian. Then trouble shows up on their doorstep, and they dust off the skills to protect their own families and the block. Small-scale mission, high-stakes energy. I am into the premise.

  • Premiere: Monday, November 17, 2025 at 10:00 PM KST on ENA
  • Time slot: ENA's Monday–Tuesday 10 PM block, taking over from 'Ms. Incognito'
  • Episode count: 10 episodes (Season 1)
  • Estimated runtime: ~50 minutes per episode
  • Finale timing: Tuesday, December 16, 2025 (based on the slot's schedule)
  • Streaming in Korea: Coupang Play and Genie TV (episodes go up shortly after broadcast)
  • International availability: No official platforms yet; expect word closer to premiere or soon after
  • Creative team: Written by Kim Sang-Yoon, directed by Jo Woong
  • Main cast and roles: - Yoon Kye-Sang as Choi Kang, a former special forces operative now working as an insurance investigator in Changri Neighborhood - Jin Sun-Kyu as Kwak Byeong-Nam - Kim Ji-Hyun as Jung Nam-Yeon - Ko Kyu-Pil as Lee Yong-Hee - Lee Jung-Ha as Park Jung-Hwan

Episode 1 is set to introduce Choi Kang and his neighbors — Kwak Byeong-Nam, Jung Nam-Yeon, Lee Yong-Hee, and Park Jung-Hwan — as they try very hard to live normal lives, until something hits the neighborhood that makes 'normal' a luxury. The show is clearly pitched on that grounded, protect-your-street angle rather than save-the-world scale, which is a nice change of pace for action TV.

There is a teaser out there, and it is exactly what you want from this concept: tense, punchy, a little gritty, and very much about everyday people stepping up together. If you have been waiting for a group-action drama with a suburban twist, this looks like it.
