Nutsa has a great voice and a talent for generating controversy, but that's not enough to win the contest.

Season 21 of American Idol is in full swing, with the showstopper round recently concluded and the Top 26 round beginning on 16 April. Naturally, there's intense speculation online about this season's frontrunners.

One current favourite is Nutsa Buzaladze, who impressed the audience with her rendition of Tina Turner's Proud Mary.

However, those who believe Nutsa will win the season might be engaging in wishful thinking. Unless a miracle occurs, Nutsa is unlikely to secure the title. Several factors are working against her.

Firstly, based on past American Idol seasons, women who excel at singing Tina Turner, Celine Dion, or Whitney Houston songs generally have lower chances of victory.

Secondly, people who follow the show on Facebook tend to vote for country singers, and Nutsa, a non-US native, can't benefit from a hometown vote.

Additionally, when there's an attractive male contestant, as there is in Season 21, teenage girls often vote him into the winning spot, further stacking the odds against Nutsa.

More importantly, Nutsa has developed a somewhat poor reputation among dedicated fans who read articles about the contestants.

Some perceive her as already acting like a superstar, secure in her position. For instance, after the duet round, Nutsa's partner, Carina DeAngelo, criticised her for unprofessional behaviour, stating, 'We had a couple of issues last night... some people wanted to sleep instead of working.'

This isn't the first time Nutsa has faced such accusations. She has previously participated in multiple televised singing competitions and has a history of undermining her duet partners.

While these shows are fiercely competitive, they are also popularity contests and openly sabotaging others can cost votes.

And last but not least, some critics argue that Nutsa's singing abilities simply don't measure up to what an American Idol winner should possess. A popular online opinion about her is that she's not really that great.
