Here's How Kristen Stewart Really Feels About Twilight Renaissance
Welcome to the world of sparkly vampires, uncomfortable silences, Romeo and Juliet mentions, and people constantly talking about how a particular underage girl smells!
When the Twilight series first burst onto the scene, it quickly became a cultural phenomenon unlike any other.
The film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's novels was a surprise hit, captivating audiences worldwide and catapulting its stars to international fame. Among those stars was actress Kristen Stewart, who played the lead role of Bella Swan, a teenage girl who moves to a new town and falls in love with a vampire named Edward Cullen, portrayed by Robert Pattinson.
Although a considerable amount of time has passed since the films graced the big screen, it seems the fascination with vampires, romance, and epic battles between good and evil remains just as strong.
As the entire movie series has been made available on Netflix, longtime fans have been indulging in some nostalgia and re-watching the saga while a whole new generation is discovering it for the first time. However, the big question on everyone's mind is, what are Kristen Stewart's thoughts on all of this?
During an interview with ET, Stewart disclosed that she had no idea that the movies were accessible on Netflix until she accidentally found them while browsing the streaming platform.
The actress went on to explain that she finds it strange how her time working on the films feels both distant yet close to her.
"I don't know, like, on one hand, you're like, 'Oh, I'm old, my God, I feel like that was five minutes ago, now it's like a 10-year anniversary.' I'm like, wow, I have to go to my high school anniversary already," she explained.
Stewart also shared that she's excited for the younger generation to discover and appreciate the Twilight Saga.
"It's like when you're little and you tell your parents how great Jimi Hendrix is or something -- not to say that I'm remotely comparing my life to Jimi Hendrix -- but you know what I mean where they're like, 'Dude, you don't even know, it's like, so sick.' I do, I was in that,” she said.
As the Twilight franchise continues to attract new fans and maintain its devoted following, it's clear that the impact of this series on popular culture will be felt for years to come. And while Kristen Stewart has certainly moved on to new and exciting projects in her career, it's clear that her time as Bella Swan will always hold a special place in her heart.
