Elven ears would definitely look good on Cavill.

Long before Amazon acquired the rights to the works of J.R.R. Tolkien after a conflict between Warner Bros. and the author's estate, there were rumors of a possible television adaptation of The Silmarillion. Fans were incredibly excited about it, as this compilation of myths and stories, which Tolkien developed before writing The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, is the most important and extensive source of lore for the world of Middle-earth.

While some of the events described in The Silmarillion were shown in The Rings of Power, viewers never got to see the story adapted as a whole, neither for the big or small screen. However, with the upcoming release of The War of the Rohirrim, an animated prequel to LOTR, it looks like the franchise is experiencing a sort of a revival, making fans hopeful that The Silmarillion adaptation may happen after all. And they already have a perfect lead actor in mind for the project.

In reality, The Silmarillion seems too big of a project to tackle even for big studios and streaming giants, describing a wide range of events from the creation of the world of Arda by Eru Ilúvatar to the beginning of the Third Age of Middle-earth. However, if the stories ever get adapted to screen, the adaptation could perhaps focus on just the Quenta Silmarillion part of the book, which tells the history of Arda before and during the First Age.

But while all of this is just fantasies and dreams of Tolkien's fans, Abandoned Films has, at least partially, made them a reality. Using AI and Photoshop, the creators imagined what The Silmarillion would look like on screen — and, quite frankly, their take on the adaptation looks even better than The Rings of Power.

Notably, the AI-generated images show The Witcher star Henry Cavill as Fëanor, one of the most prominent elves in the history of Arda. The character was the ruler of the Noldor elves and the maker of the famous Silmarils, the stones in which the light of Trees of Valinor was concentrated. Along with his brother Fingolfin, he was an opponent of Morgoth, the powerful Dark Lord to whom Sauron himself was subject.

Cavill himself is a great fan of fantasy stories, so his involvement in an epic project like The Silmarillion is quite possible. Also, the actor is known to be very careful about his roles and respectful to the source material, so Tolkien fans would certainly love to see him play Fëanor.
