HBO Max This Week: Every New Show and Movie Dropping December 15–21, 2025

HBO Max is loading up the week of Dec 15-21 with a little bit of everything: a full-series binge of a fan-favorite magazine dramedy, a fresh batch of truck tinkering, a new chunk of Teen Titans Go! with a head-scratching season label, and a mythic animated epic riding in under the A24 banner. Plus: true-crime specials, music docs, holiday programming, and, somehow, House Hunters season 248. Yes, 248.

What to watch first

Monday is the big swing. All five seasons of The Bold Type land at once, so if you missed this glossy, earnest comedy-drama about three best friends hustling at a high-profile women’s magazine (and juggling their messy personal lives), now’s your shot to catch the whole run in one place.

If your idea of comfort TV leans more toward torque and toolboxes, Truck U season 21 also parks on Monday. Matt Steele and Bruno Massel dig into builds and fixes designed to squeeze more performance out of everything on four beefy wheels.

On Friday, Cartoon Network drops Teen Titans Go! season 9F on HBO Max. That season tag is... not a typo. It’s the show’s way of slicing up its massive output into chunks. Expect the usual hyperactive superhero hangouts, jokes on jokes, and the occasional meta detour when the Titans aren’t, you know, saving the world.

Saturday’s big swing is Ne Zha II. It’s a fantasy follow-up about a kid with a supernatural origin story the gods don’t exactly love, forced to step up against an ancient threat. Not your typical A24 lane on paper, which makes it extra intriguing.
