Prime Video just dropped the Season 2 trailer for Hazbin Hotel, the hell-set, show-tune-loving adult animated series that blew up earlier this year. If you like your musicals with demons, angels, and a very messy PR problem, this season looks like a bigger swing.

When it lands

Season 2 kicks off on October 29. Prime Video will roll out two new episodes each week through November 19. Trailer is out now if you want a taste of the chaos.

What Season 2 is actually about

Charlie beat back Heaven's army, which sounds great for business, and it is: the hotel is packed. The problem is a lot of those new arrivals are not there to get redeemed so much as to stir the pot. With resentment toward Heaven bubbling up and more sinners realizing they can swing back, the opportunists arrive: an overlord trio known as the Vees, led by Vox, who are very much not subtle about wanting to run the board.

Charlie is stuck juggling two tough fronts at once: keeping the hotel's mission intact and protecting her public image as the stakes get louder. Meanwhile, upstairs, the angels are dealing with a PR crisis of their own after Sir Pentious's redemption rattled the status quo and forced them to confront their role in past atrocities against Hell. Yes, the show is still a musical. Yes, it also wants to start a holy corporate takeover.

'Vox and the Vees are aiming high — like, Heaven-high.'

Who is making this and who is in it

Hazbin Hotel comes from creator, executive producer, and director Vivienne Medrano, expanding on her 2019 animated pilot that turned into a viral behemoth with more than 92 million YouTube views. Season 2 brings back a stacked voice cast: Erika Henningsen, Stephanie Beatriz, Alex Brightman, Keith David, Kimiko Glenn, Blake Roman, Amir Talai, Christian Borle, Joel Perez, Jeremy Jordan, Lili Cooper, and more.

It is produced by A24 alongside Bento Box Entertainment — an inside-baseball pairing that explains why the show looks expensive and sings like a freight train. Since premiering in 2024, the first season landed a Certified Fresh 78% on Rotten Tomatoes, so expectations for round two are not exactly modest.
