On the Good Fortune red carpet, Grey’s Anatomy alum Sandra Oh said she’d trade lives with plenty of co-stars—but one castmate with a wildly different life tops her list.

File this under: extremely relatable red carpet answers. On the Good Fortune premiere carpet, Sandra Oh got asked which co-star she would trade lives with for a day, and she went straight for the obvious action-hero option.

During an interview with ET, the Grey's Anatomy alum paused, weighed her many options, and then name-checked her Good Fortune co-star Keanu Reeves. Yes, the prompt was technically about a past co-star; no, she did not care. Hard to blame her.

"A past co-star? Oh my gosh, there are a lot of co-stars. I’ve got to kind of think of who would be a great person to swap lives with, who I have a very different life with. I wish I could say Keanu [Reeves]."

"I would love to swap bodies with him and be able to fight [like him]. I would love to be able to be one day, on set, fighting. I would love to know how to do that."

Honestly, fair pick. If you can borrow anyone’s stunt skills for 24 hours, you choose the guy who trains like a maniac and reloads weapons like it is choreography.

The question tracks because Good Fortune is literally about waking up in someone else’s life. Aziz Ansari plays Arj, a guy circling the drain. Keanu is Gabriel, a low-budget guardian angel trying to prove that money isn’t a cure-all. His bright idea: swap Arj into the life of his mega-rich boss Jeff (Seth Rogen). It… does not go as planned. Turns out, being rich solves a suspicious number of problems. Sandra Oh’s Martha is not impressed and promptly yanks Gabriel’s wings, sentencing him to regular human living.

  • Who’s who: Aziz Ansari is Arj; Keanu Reeves is Gabriel (the angel on a budget); Seth Rogen is Jeff, the wealthy boss; Sandra Oh is Martha, the one who takes Gabriel’s wings when his plan backfires
  • What it is: Ansari wrote the film and makes his feature directing debut
  • When you can see it: it premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September and opens in U.S. theaters on October 17

Bottom line: Sandra Oh wants Keanu’s on-set combat skills for a day, and the movie she is promoting is about life-swapping chaos. Synergy, but make it fun.
