Green Room Duo Returns: Imogen Poots And Jeremy Saulnier Reunite For A24 Thriller October

Green Room duo Jeremy Saulnier and Imogen Poots reunite for October, the director’s new A24 thriller, with Poots joining the cast.
Jeremy Saulnier is back in the Halloween sandbox, and yes, he brought the chaos. The new movie is called 'October,' and the casting just got even more exciting: Imogen Poots is in, reuniting with her 'Green Room' director. If you know Saulnier, you know that combo screams sharp, nasty fun.
'music and Halloween and fun shit'
So what is 'October'?
Plot is locked up for now, but here is what has slipped out: it is a fugitive thriller set during Halloween, and Deadline is calling it a horror action thriller. Saulnier has also hinted this one lives closer to his 'Green Room' mode than his more recent work. Translation: expect tension, blood, and amps humming in the background.

Status check
Filming is underway right now, and because sometimes the movie gods have a sense of humor, 'October' is shooting in October.
Who is making it
A24 is producing and financing. Saulnier is producing alongside Rich Peete (Neighborhood Watch), Eli Bush (Central), and Skei Saulnier (Niteowl Films). Executive producers are Ronald Bronstein and Josh Safdie (Central), Traci Carlson and Elliott Coley (Neighborhood Watch), and Macon Blair (Bonneville Pictures).
Why I am into this
Saulnier kicked off with the Halloween-set 'Murder Party' and has kept leveling up with 'Blue Ruin,' 'Green Room,' 'Hold the Dark,' episodes of 'True Detective' season 3, and 'Rebel Ridge.' Hearing him promise a grimy, music-soaked Halloween thriller and then bringing back Poots feels like exactly the kind of mean little banger he excels at. No character details yet, but the vibe is loud and clear.
