There just seems to be no time for Kanthony in the upcoming season.

As Bridgerton Season 3 painfully crawls towards its long-awaited premiere that seems to never come, fans of Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma aka Kanthony are scouring the Internet hoping to find at least some evidence that their beloved pairing will get screen time in the upcoming episodes.

Unfortunately, despite some assurances from the Season 2 stars, the future doesn't look bright for Kanthony. Well, at least for those who want to see their marital bliss. Here's why.

They are not the focus of the Season 3 story

Simone Ashley may promise some steamy and touching Kanthony scenes in the upcoming season, but even if they were filmed, there's no telling how many of them will make it into the final cut of the season's eight episodes. Most likely, there will be short glimpses into the life of the young Lord and Lady Bridgerton as a backdrop to the main storyline — the love story of Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington.

Anthony and Kate's honeymoon is over

During Queen Charlotte's present timeline, Kate and Anthony were said to be honeymooning, which means that when Season 3 begins, they will most likely have just returned from their trip, leaving all the spiciest moments of their relationship off-screen.

There's no drama left in Kanthony

Season 2 was not entirely satisfying for the Bridgerverse fans because it dwelled too much on the love triangle drama and too little on the actual happy life of the protagonists when all is said and done. Well, this is not surprising.

In fact, drama is what Shonda Rhimes has long proven to be all about — it's what she does best, and it's what will continue to happen on her shows. Once there's no drama, the couple is out of the picture. That's the Shonda Law.

There are too many other storylines to fit in

Finally, Season 3 has plenty of plot lines to continue, finish, or start. Aside from the obvious main love arc, the hunt for Lady Whistledown is bound to take up the lion's share of screen time. Then there's the feud between Penelope and Eloise, the Featheringtons' fallout from Cousin Jack's mining scheme, Eloise's rumored new friend, the possible introduction of Benedict Bridgerton's love interest Sophie, Francesca Bridgerton's debut, and on and on.

Sadly, it looks like there won't be enough time for Kanthony in the midst of all this.
