Get Ready For Season 12! AHS: Delicate Episodes Release Schedule
New posters give a better understanding of what to expect from AHS Season 12.
If you're among those eagerly awaiting the next season of American Horror Story, we've got great news. The new season starring Emma Roberts, Kim Kardashian, and Cara Delevingne is coming sooner than we expected.
As announced by FX on their social media accounts, the 12th season titled AHS: Delicate will be split into two parts. Part One is set to premiere on FX on September 20 and will begin streaming on Hulu the next day, September 21. Release dates for Part Two have yet to be announced.
The premiere news came along with never-before-seen posters featuring the three leading ladies. The images add to what we already know about the plot of the upcoming episodes and the previously released teaser.
Delicate is based on Danielle Valentine's book Delicate Condition, which is due out this week. The story focuses on actress Anna (Emma Roberts), who struggles with getting pregnant and then accepting that her first pregnancy was aborted.
While everyone around her, including doctors, finds Anna paranoid, she believes that her baby is still growing inside her and that some outside forces are trying to interfere with it.
It was widely believed that Delicate Condition was inspired by feminist-leaning projects like Rosemary's Baby, but Valentine told EW that she actually took inspiration from Alien, which of course gives the idea of an unwanted presence inside someone's body. The new posters show that the role of aliens in the new season has been given to arachnids.
In the posters, Emma Roberts and Kim Kardashian are shown with giant spiders strapped to their bellies like baby bums. Roberts affectionately strokes hers. As for Delevingne, she is holding a retro-looking syringe with a spider in it, sporting the evil doctor image paired with the arachnid-shaped glasses we saw in the teaser.
Combining the horrors of gaslighting, pregnancy, and arachnophobia, Delicate is shaping up to be a fascinating AHS season. And with just a month to go until its premiere, we can't wait to tune in.
