A supervised visit ends in handcuffs for Willow Tait — and her suspicion lands squarely on estranged husband Michael Corinthos. General Hospital’s Katelyn MacMullen teases that Willow is convinced Michael engineered the bust, igniting a fresh family war.

General Hospital just tossed Willow Tait into the deep end again. During a supervised visit with her kids, cops storm in and arrest her. No warning, no explanation, just handcuffs. She is blindsided, and instantly thinks: Michael did this.

The arrest, the gun, and the why-me

Katelyn MacMullen (Willow) spelled out the mess in a new Soap Opera Digest chat: Willow is having a rare, calm moment with her children when the police show up and cart her off. Later, a gun turns up in her room. She is adamant it was planted. Given her history with Michael Corinthos, her estranged husband, Willow reads the whole thing as a setup. Betrayal, suspicion, panic — it is all there.

And then it gets messier: Mom is a suspect

Once Willow hits the station, she hears another twist: her mother is on the suspect list too. That mother is Nina Reeves, which complicates things in, well, very Nina fashion. Willow is furious that Nina looped her into an alibi that now makes Willow look worse, but she also knows Nina tends to lie when she thinks it will protect someone she loves — which, in this case, is Willow.

'She roped me into this alibi and now I look so guilty when it was never my idea to lie in the first place.'

That is the push-pull for Willow: blame Nina for the bad optics, while also recognizing Nina was trying to help, however badly.

So who planted the gun?

Willow is looking squarely at Michael. And honestly, in that family orbit, planted evidence and behind-the-scenes maneuvering are not exactly rare. MacMullen leans into Willow’s sense of betrayal here — she suspects Michael is pulling strings, and it stings.

The potential lifeline: Chase at the PCPD

There might be a break. Willow’s ex-husband, Detective Harrison Chase, still wears a badge at the Port Charles Police Department. Willow believes Chase will actually listen, which could steer the investigation toward the possibility that Michael is the one who planted the gun. Given the Corinthos track record with elaborate schemes, it is not a reach.

Short version: Willow is arrested mid-visit, a gun magically appears in her room, she suspects Michael, Nina’s protective lies make everything look worse, and Chase might be the only person who can sort this out before Willow gets steamrolled. Classic Port Charles timing.
