Carly and Jack try to reconnect, then... not

Carly shows up at Jack's room with a nostalgic pitch about sharing their old favorite wine, but it is a setup. Jack clocks that something is off, and she finally admits the truth: she is still rattled by the whole Vaughn situation and she lied about the wine just to get in the door. They kiss, which sounds nice on paper, but the vibe is off for her. She feels uncomfortable and is honestly relieved when Jack heads out for work.

Election night nerves for Laura

Laura is sweating the early returns, especially after her public blow-up with Dalton. Sonny, ever the chaos fan, actually loved it and thinks the voters did too. As results trickle in, Laura is fixated on not losing to Ezra. On top of that, she is uneasy about Ric steering Rocco's case. Sonny backs Ric, says he is the right guy for it.

Ric dangles intel to Alexis

Ric sits down with Alexis and offers her a potentially explosive line of motive against Portia in the shooting of Drew. The price: a promise that Danny will give a statement about Rocco.
