• On the November 6 episode, Tracy (Jane Elliot) apologized to Ronnie (Erika Slezak) and asked for forgiveness. Ronnie gave it, but chose not to stay at the Quartermaine mansion.
• Later at Bobbie's, Ronnie met more of the Quartermaine clan and told them she was heading back to her hometown, Durham.
• From there, she left for the airport — and we have not seen her since.

That exit played like a clean break, which is why some viewers worried it was a final goodbye. But the fan reaction since suggests people want more Ronnie on their screens, not a one-and-done.

A post on General Hospital's official Facebook page — a photo of Ronnie with a heartfelt caption — picked up serious momentum. The vibe: please let this not be the end, because there is more story to tell between Ronnie and Tracy.

So, is she actually gone?

There has been no announcement that Erika Slezak is stepping away from General Hospital. That does not guarantee a return, but it keeps the door wide open. Given the way the character left — forgiving Tracy, opting out of the mansion, hopping a flight to Durham — the show can bring her back whenever it wants. And the audience clearly wants it.

Bottom line: if GH is smart, Ronnie is not done. A holiday pop-in would do just fine.
