Port Charles is bracing for another shakeup as General Hospital reshuffles the deck — fan favorites return, surprise exits land, and contract drama brews behind the scenes. Here’s who’s in and who’s out for the week of October 20–24.

Another week, another shuffle in Port Charles. General Hospital is doing that thing it does so well: bringing familiar faces back into the chaos while tweaking contracts behind the scenes. If you are keeping score for October 20–24, there are some solid returns, a couple of story pivots, and one status change to keep an eye on. No big exits, though — for once.

Who is in, who is back, and who might be around less

  • James Patrick Stuart is officially back as Valentin Cassadine. He is still stuck at Steinmauer, but his return includes a surprise visitor in upcoming scenes that keeps the Cassadine arc rolling.
  • Bluesy Burke steps back in as Charlotte Cassadine. After reuniting with her dad last week, Charlotte is headed for some emotional fireworks at home as that family storyline heats up.
  • Genie Francis returns as Laura Collins. Port Charles could use its mayor right now, and Laura is back just as things get messy again. For timing fans: she was last on in September during Monica’s memorial.
  • Finn Carr (Rocco Falconeri) factors into the Cassadine/Falconeri threads this week, so expect him to pop up more than usual.
  • Paige Herschell reappears as Michael’s alibi from the night of Drew’s shooting, which drops another wrinkle into that case.
  • Asher Antonyzyn — that is Danny Morgan, Jason’s son — hits a disappointment in upcoming episodes. Not a spoiler-heavy beat, but it is a character moment to watch.
  • No major goodbyes this week. The long-running ABC soap is keeping most pieces on the board.
  • That said, Jens Austin Astrup (Kai Taylor) has been shifted to "off contract" as of October 17, per Soap Opera News. He is not out, but that usually means less screen time for a bit.

Short version: it is a return-heavy week with Valentin and Laura back in the mix, Charlotte’s home life about to combust, and the Drew shooting mystery getting another nudge. And while nobody is packing their Port Charles bags, one player just moved to the maybe-we-see-him-less column.
