Battle royale meets body slam as Call of Duty Mobile tags in WWE for Season 9 Midnight Rumble, unleashing a limited-time mode that turns players into WWE Superstars and drops them into the map with Prizefighters.

Call of Duty Mobile is going full Halloween with Season 9: Midnight Rumble, and yes, they brought WWE into it. If you ever wanted to punch your way around a CoD map with boxing gloves and then morph into The Undertaker, congratulations, your oddly specific dream arrived on October 1.

WWE x CoD Mobile: How it actually works

There is a new Limited Time Mode that throws everyone into the match carrying Prizefighters — basically boxing gloves — to keep the brawling up close. Go on a hot streak and your operator can temporarily turn into a WWE Superstar. So far, only two names are confirmed: The Undertaker and Alexa Bliss. More could show up later, but for now, it is those two headlining the crossover.

How to unlock The Undertaker and Alexa Bliss

This part is a little game-within-a-game. You complete challenges in a WWE-themed event to earn Entry Tickets. Spend those tickets on minigames, and you will rack up Smackdown Points. Those points let you unlock new items, including the Fractured Fiend operator skin for Minotaur and the Furious Finisher blueprint for the CR-56 AMAX.

As for playing as the WWE stars themselves, their operator skins for Alexa Bliss and The Undertaker are available through WWE draws — meaning you can potentially earn them via those event pulls. Before this, stepping into the ring as either of them was pretty much a WWE 2K-only thing.

Quick history lesson for the wrestling crowd

The Undertaker has been all over the WWE 2K series: a big role in the WrestleMania showcase in 2K14, the Immortal Pack in 2K22, and a current special Deadman Edition with him on the cover. Alexa Bliss has been a regular in the games since 2017 and sits at an 83 overall in WWE 2K25 — still a fan favorite.

So what is Midnight Rumble beyond the WWE stuff?

It is Halloween-coded across the board. The Haunted Hacienda map returns with a creepy facelift: ghost ships, jack-o-lanterns, and long shadows under a big full moon. The Isolated map goes back to pitch-black night mode for the first time since 2020. Fan-favorite spooky modes Attack of the Undead and Hordepoint are also back to keep the jump-scare energy up.

What the Battle Pass adds

The Midnight Rumble Battle Pass brings in the Sten SMG — a vintage WWII submachine gun with that unmistakable side-mounted magazine — plus the Chopper Gunner Scorestreak. Premium rewards lean hard into the eerie vibe: fiery blueprints for the Fennec, XM4, and Sten, Ajax dressed like a jack-o-lantern, and Seraph going full witch.

Bottom line: a WWE crossover inside a Halloween season is weird on paper but makes sense in practice — punchy, showy, and shamelessly theatrical. If you are a lapsed CoD Mobile player, this is the kind of event that might pull you back in for a few rounds.
