The Bridgerton Spin-off Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is upon us.

The series, which is set across two time periods, is unashamedly a romp-filled Regency romance rather than a historically accurate interpretation of events. But did we expect anything different?

Here, we meet the cast to find out who they’re playing in the series and what they’ve been up to outside of the Bridgerton universe:

India Ria Amarteifio

Age: 21

Already with several acting credits on stage and screen, Amarteifio has been performing since she was 8 years old. After appearing in popular West End musicals, including playing Violet Beauregarde in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, she made her screen debut in the TV adaptation of David Walliams’ book Gangsta Granny.

A graduate of the Sylvia Young Theatre School, she has also appeared in Dr Who, Line of Duty and Unforgotten.

Golda Rosheuvel

Fans of the original show will recognise Queen Charlotte from Bridgerton. As a series regular Rosheuval made the part her own.

First appearing on screen in the noughties, Rosheuval completed the usual UK rites of passage, including The Bill, Casualty and Holby City. She also appeared in both Eastenders and Coronation Street, but Queen Charlotte – for which she was SAG-nominated – was her first main role.

She’s in a relationship with playwright and theatremaker Shireen Mula, and is a passionate supporter of the creative arts.
