Bank your cash for the November 2025 release rush—Xbox, PlayStation, and PC storefronts are serving up a slate of fresh games you can play this weekend for free.

If you are trying to save a little cash for the November 2025 pile-up but still want something new to play this weekend, you are in luck. Between PC, Xbox, and PlayStation, there is a surprisingly solid mix of freebies and trials you can jump into right now. Here is the lay of the land, what is actually free, and what technically needs a sub.

PC: Zero-cost picks on Steam and Epic

PC is doing what PC always does: plenty of free downloads and trials without the nickel-and-diming. Steam and the Epic Games Store have a decent spread across puzzlers, sims, RPGs, and a few oddballs (in a good way). If you want to test-drive or pad the backlog, this is the easy win category.

Xbox: Free Play Days returns (with a small catch)

Microsoft has had its share of drama lately, but Free Play Days is still one of the most player-friendly promos in the mix. This weekend brings five games you can hop into. Note: one of them needs Game Pass to participate, which is a little goofy, but I do not make the rules.

Subscription-only stuff that is functionally free

Not truly free, obviously, but if you are already paying for Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation Plus Essential, or Prime Gaming, there are a bunch of titles you can download and play right now. Consider this the bonus round.

Everything in one place
