Fortnite Zero Hour Countdown: Live Event Start Time, Release Date, and What to Expect

Fortnite’s Zero Hour is primed to be the game’s biggest live spectacle yet, uniting Chapter 6’s marquee collabs for a last stand against the Dark Presence—and lighting the fuse on a blockbuster leap into Chapter 7.

Fortnite is about to go full crossover chaos again. Zero Hour is the big Chapter 6 sendoff, and Epic is stacking the roster with wild collabs to take down the Dark Presence. If you want in, here is the when, the how, and the who.

When to log in (and how early you actually need to be)

The Zero Hour live event fires up on Friday, November 29 at 11:00 AM PT / 2:00 PM ET. The in-game event lobby opens at 10:20 AM PT / 1:20 PM ET, but do yourself a favor and log in a full hour before showtime. It is a one-time-only event and it is going to be packed. Millions of players means queues, and queues mean you do not want to cut it close.

What Zero Hour actually is

Think Fortnite doing its Avengers: Endgame moment. The Dark Presence has been the big bad of Chapter 6, and Zero Hour pulls in a ton of Chapter 6 collabs for the final showdown. The trailer teases a ridiculous lineup raring to go, all converging to push us into Chapter 7.

Who is showing up (this is where it gets fun)

From the trailer: Godzilla and Kong stomping in, a giant Homer Simpson in tighty whities (yes, really), X-Wings flying by, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Hatsune Miku, and The Bride from Kill Bill. That is already a crossover fever dream.

The lineup being talked up for the event includes Superman (the 2025 look), Rumi, Zoe & Mira from K-POP: Demon Hunters, Godzilla & Kong, the Power Rangers Megazord, that giant Homer, Hatsune Miku, The Bride, The Seven, Jonesy, and Hope. Expect surprises on top of that. Also worth flagging: The Seven are poised to return in a big way, and leaks say they will matter a lot in Chapter 7.

After the show: downtime and a free skin

Once Zero Hour wraps, expect server maintenance for roughly 4–5 hours before Chapter 7 goes live. When you get back in, there is a freebie waiting: the Yuki Yubari skin from Kill Bill. It is not tied to attending the event. According to ShiinaBR on X, all you need to do is log in between Nov 27 at 9:00 AM ET and Dec 1 at 9:00 AM ET and it will be added to your account.

Bottom line: log in early, enjoy the spectacle, and grab the free skin. Chapter 7 is right on the other side.
