Welcome, crime fans!

Korean showrunners have long since stopped making only romantic dramas and are releasing quality detective shows. We have chosen k-dramas that focus on catching criminals and mysterious murders investigated by the police.

1. Mouse, 2021

The drama takes place in an alternate reality where people have managed to identify the psychopath gene. Even in the embryonic stage, it is possible to understand whether the child will become a serial killer.

Jeong Ba-reum, a young police officer, Choi, a journalist, and Ko Moo-chi, a detective, become involved in a terrible investigation.

There are videos from the crime scene, in which the silhouette of the killer in a raincoat can be seen, and some of the evidence found at the crime scenes disappears for some reason after being stored by the police.

2. Tell Me What You Saw, 2020

Brilliant detective Oh Hyun-jae lost his wife in an explosion caused by a serial killer. To cope with his loss, he goes to the countryside where he meets detective Cha Soo-young, who has a photographic memory.

She is assigned to solve the brutal murder of a woman whose body was found with strange symbols carved into her skin. Cha Soo-young invites Oh Hyun-jae to work on the case with her.

3. Class of Lies, 2019

Private school student Jeong Soo-ah is found with a serious stab wound in an expensive mansion. Her classmate is caught at the scene and immediately falls under suspicion.

The unprincipled lawyer Gi Moo-hyeok, who has a high percentage of winning cases and only cares about money, decides to take on the case. The lawyer forges a teaching license and gets a job as a gym teacher at the school.

4. Flower of Evil, 2020

Baek Hee-sung is an ordinary family man. He has a beloved wife, detective Cha Ji-won, and a daughter, Baek Eun-ha. His relatives and neighbors consider him to be perfect: kind, quiet and hardworking.

Nobody even thinks that behind the mask there might be someone else with a rather dark past.

Suddenly, a strange murder occurs in the city: the victim's thumb nail is missing. During the investigation detective Cha Ji-won finds out that the name of her husband Baek Hee-sung is not his real name.

5. Catch the Ghost, 2019

Go Ji-seok works in the subway, although he used to be the best in the investigation department. After his mother got sick, he had to change his job to a quieter one in order to spend more time with her.

During a joint event between the police and the subway, one of the employees is murdered in the subway. So the man gets involved in the investigation of a serial killer and also gets a partner, Yoo Ryeong.

She is a young police officer who is trying to find her missing sister. Some evidence shows a connection between the relative and the serial maniac.
