If you were hoping to wait for Marvel to roll out the first look at Daredevil: Born Again season 2 on their own timetable... yeah, about that. Krysten Ritter went ahead and shared the trailer herself on Instagram Stories, giving everyone an early peek at Jessica Jones stepping into the MCU proper. Not exactly how Disney planned it, but here we are.
What the leaked trailer shows
The footage matches what was screened privately at NYCC: a tight, moody reel of quick cuts that teases where everyone lands this season. The big headline is Jessica Jones showing up in Matt Murdock's orbit again. The moment that will get the most chatter: Jessica visits Matt at a church, setting up a reunion years after The Defenders.
- Wilson Fisk is in full politician mode now — the former Kingpin is the new Mayor of New York — and we see Vincent D'Onofrio letting loose with a wild, gleeful laugh that feels... unsettling.
- Wilson Bethel is back as Bullseye, glimpsed in a couple of sharp, blink-and-you-miss-it shots.
- Deborah Ann Woll shows up as Karen Page.
- Charlie Cox returns as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, obviously, with the church scene hinting at a heavier, more reflective Matt.
- And yes, Krysten Ritter appears as Jessica Jones, marking her official MCU debut under the Alias Investigations banner.
Ritter on suiting back up
Ritter has been careful about details, but back in July she did talk about dusting off Jessica's leather jacket for Daredevil. She said coming back felt right and that there is more story to tell for the character. She also described the tone of Born Again as grittier and darker than what fans might expect, while also feeling bigger in scope. The behind-the-scenes vibe, according to her, has been great — she specifically called out how easy it was to click back in with Charlie Cox, saying it felt like no time had passed, with a very strong we are back energy on day one.
"I think the fans are going to be very, very thrilled. We are doing some cool stuff."
Who else is back
Elden Henson is returning as Foggy Nelson, though the word is that his scenes are presumably flashbacks.
When to expect it
Daredevil: Born Again season 2 is slated to hit Disney Plus in March 2026. Plenty of time to replay that leaked trailer in your head — or wherever it inevitably pops up again — and speculate about a Jessica and Matt team-up we have not seen since the Netflix days.
