Hunting down every hot spring in Ghost of Yotei isn’t just a tranquil detour—it’s your quickest route to boosting Atsu’s max health. We’ve mapped every soak spot and the reward you’ll net for bathing in them all.

Ghost of Yotei brings back one of my favorite video game traditions: stopping mid-adventure for a hot bath that somehow makes you tougher. Yes, just like Ghost of Tsushima, soaking in hot springs lets Atsu chill out and bumps her max health. Hit every spring in the game and you also unlock the Fundoshi Armor. A few of these are obvious. Most make you scale cliffs, follow a golden bird, or pay a guy at an inn. One even has NPCs already in the water. Inside baseball? Absolutely. Here’s the whole tour, with clean directions so you can hop from soak to soak without fuss.

How hot springs work in Ghost of Yotei

Every soak increases Atsu’s maximum health, and bathing at all of them unlocks the Fundoshi Armor. They’re spread across the map’s big regions: Yotei Grasslands, Ishikari Plains, Tokachi Range, Nayoro Wilds, Teshio Ridge, and Oshima Coast. One spring, Yotei’s Shadow, also hands out a unique trinket on top of the usual health boost. If directions ever feel vague, look for climbable ledges and keep an eye out for the golden bird that loves to lead you straight to hidden spots.

  1. Yotei's Shadow Hot Spring

Near Shikotsu Woods, right by the Old Trails side quest where you pick your horse. This one is special: it rewards the Charm of Thoughtful Restoration on top of your normal soak benefits.

  2. Wild Clearing Hot Spring

In the Maw of the Serpent. Follow the golden bird, climb the nearby cliff it points you to, and the spring is just ahead.

  3. Horizon View Hot Spring

South of the Kuttara Gambling Den, below a cliff near Lake Kuttara and Tranquil Falls. Find a handhold section and climb down carefully to reach the pool.

  4. Hidden Cliff Hot Spring

On a small cliff at the far north edge of Yotei Grasslands, near the Golden Foothills. While heading toward a Saito camp, watch for climbing routes; a bit of parkour gets you there.

  5. Bear Rock Hot Spring

Atop the mountain just east of Ishikari Market. Circle around the mountain, ascend a small hill, and let the golden bird nudge you to the exact spot.

  6. Kappa's Hot Spring

North of the Blackened Homestead by Urara Forest. Look for trees with creepy masks hanging from them; that’s your landmark.

  7. Smoky Mountains Hot Spring

Near the White Deer Woodlands. Use the climbing edges on one side of the mountain and trek all the way up. Bonus bit: you can yank out some weeds around the pool once you arrive.

  8. Cloud View Hot Spring

On a cliff at the northwestern end of the Rumoi River. Climb the mountain via the marked ledges and the spring is waiting up top.

  9. Quiet Valley Hot Spring

Just above the Ohara Plains, west of the Saito Encampment. Walk past the patch of white flowers and you’re basically there.

  10. Grassy Fields Hot Spring

Left of the Boar's Eye Cave, beside a large rock on the east side of the Nupur River.

  11. Cave Path Hot Spring

In the Nayoro Wilds near the Iwor Mountains, far west of Husko Kotan. Climb the mountain, navigate the obstacles, and enter the cave. Inside, head east, climb the small cliff, keep moving forward, and the spring is at the end of the path.

  12. Red Crane Inn Hot Spring

In Teshio Ridge at the Red Crane Inn by the Teshio River. Talk to the Settler on the inn’s left side and pay 200 coins to access the bath.

  13. Black Bowl Hot Spring

On a small cliff just west of Crimson Forest in Teshio Ridge. Easy to spot even from a distance.

  14. Valley View Hot Spring

On a tall cliff north of Sarobetsu Lake in Teshio Ridge. Expect a few climbing obstacles on the way up.

  15. Distant Castle Hot Spring

North of Tokuyama Hills in Oshima Coast. Squeeze through a tight hollow, then climb a small valley to reach it.

  16. Cliff View Hot Spring

Just south of Shojin Hills in Oshima Coast. Circle the cliff to a broken bridge, cross it, climb up, and you’ll find the pool. Heads up: NPCs sometimes beat you there. You can shoo them out by swinging your Katana if you’re feeling territorial.

That’s the whole circuit. Hit them all for the health boosts and, of course, the Fundoshi Armor. If you get turned around, trust the golden bird and look for those ledges. Spa day never looked so dangerous.
