FC 26 XP Secrets: Level Up Fast and Is the Premium Season Pass Worth It?
Finish the season pass and cash in on the season’s biggest haul, with premium loot and exclusive perks up for grabs.
If you have been grinding FC 26 and wondering why your season level barely moves, you are not crazy. The game kind of buries the real answer: only specific matches count, and it is not always obvious which ones. Here is the straightforward version so you can stop wasting time and start actually earning XP.
How you actually earn XP in FC 26
XP only drops when the match you are playing lines up with an objective. That is the whole trick. You can play 20 extra games for fun, but if they are not tied to a Daily, Weekly, or Season objective, they will not move your season level.
Example: at the moment, one Weekly chain asks you to complete one, then two, then three matches in Manager Live. You will only get XP for those specific games. Anything outside that objective chain does not count toward XP, no matter how many matches you rack up.
Where those objectives live
Objectives are spread across multiple modes, which is nice if you like to bounce around. Less nice if you never touch a certain mode and watch those XP opportunities sail by. Expect objectives to show up in:
- Manager Career
- Manager Career - Live (aka Manager Live)
- Player Career
- Ultimate Team
- Clubs
The upside: you can rotate modes to keep things fresh while climbing the season track. The downside: if Clubs is not your thing, you will feel shut out of any Clubs-only objectives sitting on the weekly board. And yes, leveling can feel slow because only a slice of your matches actually count.
Season pass basics (and whether the premium is worth it)
EA rolled out a paid season pass last year and kept it in FC 26. It is not locked to Ultimate Team either; the pass stretches across the game. The first premium pass for this year is included with the Ultimate Edition, and the headliner is a World Tour Tomori up top — an 86-rated center back who is very solid.
Real talk: the bigger draw is probably the extra packs along the way. There are 15 additional packs on the premium track. If you already have the premium via Ultimate Edition, great — grind away. If you are thinking about buying in, it basically comes down to how much you want those extra 15 packs.
Quick sanity check
If your level is not moving, back out and read the objective text. Make sure the match type, mode, and count line up with an active Daily, Weekly, or Season task. If it is not on the board, it is not paying XP, no matter how sweaty the win was.
