FBI Season 8: Release Date, Cast Lineup, and the Latest Updates You Need to Know

The long-running procedural survives the franchise shake-up — and it’s back.
FBI is back, and the new run is diving straight into the chaos left behind. Season 8 opens just three days after the season 7 finale, which left Isobel in rough shape and the New York Field Office rattled. Translation: the show is not letting anyone breathe.
Where season 8 picks up
Showrunner Mike Weiss says the premiere lives in the aftermath of Isobel’s life-threatening injuries and the broader shockwaves inside the office. In his words, the team had just weathered "kind of a coup" — which is a wild sentence to be saying about a CBS procedural, but here we are. As for Isobel’s fate, brace yourself for a long tease.
"You might not know for a long time."
Weiss adds that the point is to let the fallout actually matter, both for Isobel and for the office itself. So expect consequences, not a quick reset.
Release date and time
Season 8 premieres in the US on Monday 13 October on CBS at 9pm Eastern / 8pm Central.
New face, shifting team
Law & Order: SVU alum Juliana Aidén Martinez is joining the cast this season. Details on who she’s playing are being kept quiet for now, and Weiss is deliberately coy about how she enters the picture. He also hints at more shake-ups coming and suggests viewers won’t immediately know who they’re meant to be rooting for — apparently that reveal is a couple of weeks away. When the time is right, he says he’ll talk more openly about Martinez’s role and why she becomes part of the team.
Who’s back
- Missy Peregrym as Maggie Bell
- Zeeko Zaki as Omar Adom 'OA' Zidan
- Jeremy Sisto as Jubal Valentine
- John Boyd as Stuart Scola
- Alana De La Garza as Isobel Castille
- Juliana Aidén Martinez as TBC
Isobel’s status is obviously the big question mark after the season 7 finale, so how much we actually see of her early on is very much a wait-and-see situation.
Trailer status
No full official trailer yet, but CBS has put out a fresh promo to set the tone.
UK viewing
In the UK, season 7 is currently airing on Sky Witness and streaming on NOW. There’s no confirmed UK date for season 8 yet. Based on how these rollouts usually go, expect it to land sometime in 2026 — and yes, if that changes, I’ll update this.
If you want to catch up, seasons 1–7 are available to stream on NOW.
