Why fans think Drew is toast
The ABC soap has been teasing big, messy drama for weeks, and Drew has been collecting enemies like it is a hobby. He has turned himself into a prime target, and the latest episodes are not exactly subtle about it.

In the preview for the week of August 25–29, Danny and Rocco stumble onto a body at the pier. The montage also cuts to Nina, Alexis, and a very angry Portia. That was enough to set off the theory machine: is the corpse floating in the river actually Drew?
The August 27 episode poured gasoline on it. Sonny flat-out told Alexis that Drew has made too many enemies and it is only a matter of time before someone takes him down. Nina went even harder, threatening Drew's life if he so much as hurts Willow. Curtis and Portia, meanwhile, are openly nervous about being next on his list. Put it all together and, yeah, it looks like the show is building toward a violent outcome for Drew.
So, is Cameron Mathison leaving?
No. Despite all the ominous setup on screen, Cameron Mathison already swatted down the exit rumors himself. He recently posted on Instagram about hanging with his daughter before she headed back to school. In the comments, a fan asked point-blank if he was leaving General Hospital. His answer was short and definitive:
"no"
That is about as clear as it gets. Enemies inside the show might want Drew gone, but the actor is not leaving General Hospital right now. The how-will-he-survive tension is real, though, so we will see whether this is all misdirection or if someone actually makes good on those threats.
