The islands of Fiji are filled not only with dangerous obstacles but also with absurd decisions.

Interesting twists are surely an important part of reality shows, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats and wondering what will happen next.

But sometimes, viewers get fed up with unexpected adjustments to the stories and want their favorite show to be balanced out and provide more space to delve into the situation.

Survivor has been a great example of how a repetitive reality competition series can keep its audience engaged and entertained, but now it seems that fans are getting tired of the show introducing many surprising twists at the last moment, which radically change the course of events. And what's worse, they blame it on the show's host, Jeff Probst.

'The tribe has spoken? More like Jeff has,' one of the fans commented sarcastically.

Season 44 of Survivor has presented us with a number of interesting personalities, and people love following their lives on the tropical island as they take part in challenges and build relationships with the other contestants.

5 Richest Survivor Winners (Number 5 Alone Worth a Whopping $40 Mil)

However, the last episode turned out to be so disappointing that many fans literally called out for the firing of the show's twist-making host, Jeff Probst.

'Jeff needs to invent a new twist where he fires himself,' another fan wrote.

The episode 'Let's Not Be Cute About It' was full of unnecessary plot twists. First, it was revealed that the winner of musical chairs grants immunity to the entire team. Then, Jeff suddenly pointed out that only losers get to vote… And that's not all! The winners were able to find a key that allowed one to control one of the votes.

While twists like that are meant to add intrigue, they do quite the opposite, making the show feel completely scripted. Now, not every player has a vote, which certainly increases viewers' interest in Survivor, but the advantages that some contestants have over the others devalue the relationship dynamics within the tribes and destroy possible elimination strategies.

'Jeff says he likes how "there's nowhere to hide with fewer numbers," but that is idiotic. He's completely ignoring that there are fewer pairs of people who can collaborate on the vote, and fewer outcomes that can happen,' another Reddit user noted.

This perfectly illustrates the above-mentioned point because, instead of character development and truly unexpected twists, we'll be getting simplistic voting and obvious outcomes.

Let's see if the show will be able to right its wrongs with yet another unexpected twist (please don't disappoint us again, Jeff).

Episode 8 will arrive on CBS on April 19, 2023.
