Fallout 4 Is Finally Coming to Switch 2 in 2026 — The Series’ Nintendo Debut

Fallout Day 2025 dropped a vault-sized surprise: Fallout 4 is officially headed to Nintendo Switch 2 next year—the first of many—softening the blow for fans who were braced for a New Vegas remaster.
Fallout Day 2025 actually came with a surprise: no New Vegas remaster (sorry, rumor mill), but Bethesda is dusting off Fallout 4 for a big Anniversary Edition this fall — and it is coming to Nintendo's next console after that.
Fallout 4 is headed to Switch 2
Bethesda is bringing Fallout 4 to the Nintendo Switch 2 sometime in 2026. No exact date yet. The Switch 2 port will be based on the Anniversary Edition, so all the extras that hit other platforms first will make the jump too. Pricing for the Switch 2 version is TBA.
Anniversary Edition lands first on current-gen
Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition launches November 10, 2025 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. It bundles the full game with all six expansions (yes, including Far Harbor and Nuka-World) and folds in a fat stack of curated extras from Bethesda's Creation Club.
- Over 150 Creation Club items are included at launch, with some content that has not been released before.
- Cosmetic and gameplay tweaks are in the mix — you can even change Dogmeat's breed (Dalmatian? Husky? Go wild) and pick up unique weapons that were not in the base game.
- Bethesda is also tying Fallout 4 into its Creations pipeline so more content can roll into the Commonwealth after launch.
Associate art director Daniel Lee put it like this during the Fallout Day 2025 reveal panel:
"In addition to the add-ons, the Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition also includes over 150 pieces of Creation Club content, including some previously unreleased items to supplement your adventures. And now, with this anniversary, we're taking your experience to the next level because Creations are coming to Fallout 4. That means you'll see even more new content coming to the Commonwealth."
How much is this going to cost?
Bethesda has not announced a price for the Anniversary Edition yet. If history is any guide, you could pencil in something around the $40 mark, but that is just an educated guess until they say otherwise. Same deal for the Switch 2 version — price is unknown.
The broader read
Seeing Fallout 4 show up on Switch 2 suggests Microsoft and Bethesda are comfortable pushing big first-party titles onto Nintendo's next box. If that trend holds, we might see more Xbox-published games making the trip, but for now only Fallout 4 is official.
Bottom line: Fallout 4 gets a fresh package on November 10, 2025 for current-gen, and Nintendo fans get their turn in 2026 with the Switch 2 port — full slate of DLC, a mountain of Creation Club goodies, Dogmeat dress-up included.
