F1 Movie (2025): Is There a Post-Credits Scene?

Brad Pitt's F1: The Movie has officially hit theaters as of June 27, and with a runtime of 2 hours and 35 minutes, some moviegoers are wondering: do you really need to sit through the credits?
The answer is yes — or more specifically, stick around for the mid-credits scene. There's no post-credits stinger at the very end, but there is a mid-credits moment that's worth catching.
What's in the mid-credits scene?
No spoilers here — just know it features Pitt's character Sonny Hayes driving a Baja racer across sand dunes, which might hint at what's next for the ex–F1 driver.
Who's in the movie?
Pitt stars as Sonny Hayes, a retired Formula One legend pulled back into the world of racing. He's joined by:
Damson Idris as rising star Joshua Pearce
Javier Bardem, Kerry Condon, and Tobias Menzies in key supporting roles
The film is directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick) and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, with Lewis Hamilton also on board as a producer and racing consultant.
Did they actually drive?
Yes. Pitt refused to fake it. According to Bruckheimer, "Brad said: 'I'm not doing the movie if we do bluescreen.'" So they didn't. The actors went through a four-month training program, progressing from regular track cars to F3-level racers — handling real G-forces and real circuits.
Even Damson Idris had to prove he could drive before being cast. And on Pitt's first day, Lewis Hamilton gave him a personal ride-along at race speed.
Bottom line?
If you're headed to F1, plan to stick around after the credits roll for at least a few minutes. There's no sequel teaser (yet), but the mid-credits scene is part of the story — and worth staying for.
