Every Oddity Mapped in Where Winds Meet: Your Fastest Path to 100%
Power up fast in Where Winds Meet: every Oddity mapped, from elusive creatures to rare relics, so you can outplay every foe.
If you landed in Where Winds Meet and immediately started smashing jars and chasing frogs, congratulations: you are already on the Oddities grind. These little creatures and curios are collectibles that actually matter, giving you an edge once you trade them in. The game says Oddities can pop up all over the world, but if you are combing through Qinghe and Kaifeng specifically, here is the exact, no-fuss path to grab 10 of them fast.
Oddities in Qinghe and Kaifeng: where to look and what to do
Below are the 10 Oddities I kept finding across Qinghe and Kaifeng, with the best spots and what the game expects you to do once you get there. And yes, some of this is delightfully strange. Catching a bird for a branch? Sure. Swatting butterflies off flowers? Why not.
- Dagger General — Tiny insects that hide in breakables. Check jars, rocks, and wooden crates. Best farm: the Verdant Wilds, especially Bamboo Abode, General's Shrine, and Battlecrest Slope.
- Redmist Beetle — Found on red mushrooms. You will see plenty in the Verdant Wilds, particularly around Battlecrest Slope and Bamboo Abode.
- Enchanted Lotus — The Oddity drops after you take out the butterflies swarming the flowers. Head to Sundara Land, around Finesteed Hamlet and Bodhi Sea.
- Ironwing Mantis — Just interact with the mantis to collect it. Common around Qinghe's Thousand-Buddha Village, Jadebrook Mountain, and Mercheart Monastery.
- Whisper Hive — Look for hives hanging off cliffs or in trees. Bamboo Abode in the Verdant Wilds has multiple spawn points.
- Midnight Nibbler — Skittish rats that like to lurk near jars and wooden boxes. Your best bet is South Gate Avenue in Kaifeng City.
- Moonbeam Toad — Green frogs that make you work for it; expect a short chase before you can snag them. Also at South Gate Avenue, Kaifeng City.
- Heartsoothe Twig — Drop a bird that is flying around with a branch to get the Osmanthus Branch (that is the Oddity). Look around the Fairgrounds or Velvet Shade in Kaifeng City.
- Swallow's Rest — Found on rooftops. Check buildings in Kaifeng Prefecture and the Fairgrounds area of Kaifeng City.
- Thunder Fluff — Purple plants that drop fluff balls when you approach. Scan the eastern side of the Kaifeng Suburbs.
What Oddities are actually for (and why you should care)
Oddities are your ticket to Melodies of Peace — a progression track that spits out upgrades and useful items. It sounds serene, but it is the good stuff. Trade your finds to Qi Sheng in Qinghe or Bai Ji in Kaifeng City to rack up those unlocks.
Important catch: each trader only accepts Oddities from their own region. So Qinghe Oddities go to Qi Sheng; Kaifeng Oddities go to Bai Ji. After you cash in, you can unlock new Internal Arts, Mystic Arts, and other perks. Translation: better build options, more tools, and a noticeably smoother time in fights.
Quick sanity check before you roam
A few labels in-game can be a little finicky (yes, that is Battlecrest Slope you are looking for), but the locations above will get you there. Break things. Look up at trees and cliff faces. Follow the frogs. And if a bird is flying around with a stick like it owns the place, it does not.
