The Below Deck reality show has finally aired its final episode of season 10.

The series, which follows the drama within the superyacht crew against the backdrop of a charter season, has spawned a number of spin-offs, and fans have managed to get attached to the seascapes in its 10 years of existence.

But with Captain Lee Rosbach, it's not that simple! A yacht captain with more than 40 years of experience (and a dubious sense of humor) left the project, ending a decade-long era. In that time, Captain Lee has gained a number of fans who are now thanking him for his time on the show and are upset about his retirement. However, he has enough haters as well.

Rosbach will have to leave the show, at least temporarily, due to health issues and will be replaced by Captain Kerry Titheradge (Below Deck Adventure spin-off) in season 11.

The salty (pun intended) old sailor is known for his witty and sometimes offensive lines, tough attitude, and old-fashioned sense of humor. All the more reason for some to dislike him!

Nevertheless, the finale was a sentimental one for fans, crew members and the captain himself. While a recap of all 10 seasons was played in the background, Lee Rosbach reflected on the past 10 years and also confessed that he would never part with the current St. David crew.

Regardless of their feelings towards Captain Lee, Below Deck fans seem to agree that his departure will only benefit him:

"I like him, but I agree he's had a lot of health issues in the last two seasons and that's reason enough to push him to retire," Reddit user Content-County-9327 reflects. Many have speculated that the decision to leave was made by Bravo, the television network that produces the show.

Still, many fans hope to see the famous captain more than once:

"I definitely hope he'll be back in some capacity – I could also believe he needs to take a season or so off for his health but is hopeful to return after that. It would be nice if the rumors of his full retirement were exaggerated for sure!" Redditor babymayor says, expecting to see Captain Lee again.

Well, best wishes for your recovery, Captain Lee! Meanwhile, we may learn more about Lee Rosbach's future plans on next week's bittersweet Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen special.
