End of an Era: Johnny Knoxville Confirms Jackass 5 Is the Final Chapter

After more than two decades of busted knuckles and belly laughs, Johnny Knoxville says Jackass 5 will be the final stunt for the franchise — one last, wild ride before the credits roll.

The Jackass crew is suiting up for one last round of carnage. Johnny Knoxville says the next movie, Jackass 5, is the end of the road. Filming is about to get underway, the team has most of the insanity mapped out, and after 25-plus years of busted bones, shattered teeth, and other deeply questionable souvenirs, they still found new ways to push their luck. Because who wouldnt want to keep doing that in your 50s?

Knoxville says this is the finale

This will be the last one. This is the natural place to end. So it's going to be absolutely awful.

The math checks out. The show kicked off more than 25 years ago, and a lot of the gang is now in their 50s. Time to leave whatever cartilage remains on the field.

What theyre cooking up

Knoxville says the blueprint is about 80 percent locked, with the rest to be improvised on the day. They keep a stash of bad ideas for rainy days too, including an entire bit that spiraled out of everyone messing around with superglue. That tracks.

He also teased a new gag targeting Dave Englands lone testicle. It is a concept theyve been chasing for 15 years and theyre finally trying to pull it off for Jackass 5. No specifics yet; Knoxville is keeping that one under wraps.

Bam Margera will show up... sort of

After being dismissed from the last movie, Bam will appear in Jackass 5 via never-before-seen archival footage.

Summer release on deck

Knoxville says the movie hits theaters on June 26, and he announced it with the kind of enthusiasm that probably made a medic nervous:
