Some stories stay with us forever. Especially those that we grew up reading or watching.

Actors, more often than not, cannot but be associated with a particular role of theirs. So no matter how great an actor’s career plays out, they will always be haunted by one character they once portrayed.

As the news about a possible Harry Potter show by HBO broke out, it’s high time we reminisced about the beloved movie franchise. It was such a big deal internationally when the network made a special dedicated to the film series for its twentieth anniversary. We got to revisit our favorite locations, and the actors – their characters.

Speaking of the remarkable moments in the films, Emma Watson said there’s one in particular that is still haunting her these days.

In the last film of the franchise – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 – Emma’s character, Hermione, finds herself in a romantic scene with her on-screen beau Ron Weasley, played by Rupert Grint.

As the two characters are in love according to the canon of the books and they are old enough to not be considered kids, it is not cringey to witness them sharing a very amorous moment. But in the Return to Hogwarts special Emma Watson said it was the most embarrassing thing she’d ever done.

The reason is nowhere near what you might think. Watson considers her kiss with Rupert Grint almost incestuous.

According to her, she and Rupert have always been very close friends and had a sibling-like relationship so it was terrifying to kiss him on set. The good thing was that their eyes were closed during the kiss, otherwise it would have been unbearable for the actress.

When Watson brings this up in the HBO special, Rupert Grint does nothing but awkwardly agrees. But the two actors have a good laugh every time they recall the moment. As they say, the scene was supposed to be very dramatic but they couldn’t stop laughing about it.

Perhaps the cast and crew’s jokes about intending to come and see the actors do the scene are to blame for Watson’s utmost embarrassment. But Emma Watson still thinks the kiss with Grint is the most horrifying thing she has ever had to do on set.
