Emily in Paris, Move: 5 Best TV Shows and Movies About the City of Love
Love, the Eiffel Tower and... murder.
The fourth season of Emily in Paris is over – although the story of an American girl in France is far from realistic, that is not what made the series so popular. Darren Star's project shows the charming and even fairytale side of the most romantic city.
These five movies and TV series do the job just as well.
1. Paris Police 1900, 2021
It's 1899, France is in the midst of a political scandal due to the Dreyfus Affair and the death of President Felix Faure. In this unstable situation, a mysterious murder occurs, and the main character of the story is Antoine Jouin, a police inspector, a true professional in his field.
One day, Antoine is faced with an important investigation: the police fished a suitcase out of the river, in which they found parts of a woman's body. Now Jouin must piece together the evidence, interrogate witnesses, and find the killer before the terrible crime is repeated. The more the inspector understands the case, the more confusing the investigation becomes.
2. Eiffel, 2021
Gustave Eiffel has designed many buildings, now the architect dreams of building the Paris metro. Looking for investors, he contacts his old friend Antoine de Restac, a famous journalist with connections in the government.

3. Paris, I Love You, 2006
Paris, I Love You is a collection of short stories united by a single setting – the capital of France. A woman falls in love with a drug dealer, a man cannot leave his wife, and a tourist finds inspiration in Paris – in two hours, a variety of stories unfold on the screen, forming a tender declaration of love to the extraordinary city.
Each chapter is the work of a different director, screenwriter and actor. Among the directors are the Coen brothers, Wes Craven, Alfonso Cuaron, and other famous masters. Each of them made a five-minute short movie in their own unique style.
4. Paris, 13th District, 2021
Emilie works in a call center. Soon a new roommate moves into the spare room of her rented apartment: a young university professor named Camille. The new acquaintances develop a mutual interest that turns into casual sex.
The teacher, focused on his academic career, does not want a serious relationship. But Camille quickly changes his mind when he meets a new student, Nora.
Jacques Audiard's black and white film is the story of three Parisians whose destinies intertwine throughout the film. The director shows not so much the tourist streets of Paris, but the residential areas, which have a special charm.
