The look isn't worth the price, the actress says.

Game of Thrones is perhaps the most visually impressive show of recent years. During its production, millions of dollars were spent on CGI, let alone all those eye-catching costumes and gear.

From exquisite armor of all kinds to royal silken dresses and fur coats — all these items of clothing contributed to the show's authentic feel, which was one of the reasons for its huge popularity. But apparently, wearing these amazing costumes did not feel just as nice as looking at them on the screen.

In an interview with Who What Wear, Emilia Clarke recently spoke up about her unpleasant experience dealing with Daenerys' beautiful yet very impractical wardrobe. One of the main characters in the series, Daenerys is present in each of the eight seasons of Game of Thrones, and her costumes throughout the show are simply stunning.

However, according to the actress who played the Dragon Queen, wearing her character's attire was a real pain despite its seeming chic.

'I will never wear costumes that beautiful again in my life unless I have the privilege of working with Michelle Clapton again,' Emilia Clarke told Who What Wear as she was talking about the Games of Thrones costume designer and her creations, which she described as 'great but horrific.'

Corsets were Emilia's least favorite garment. For one, the Mother of Dragons could not eat while she was wearing one. Whenever it was lunch time for Clarke, she had to have the thing taken off her — that's right, the star's beautiful corsets were so tight and restrictive, she had to ask someone to help her out. On the podcast, Emilia said she still remembered the pain from wearing a corset, so she would not agree to wear one again for all the money in the world.

'Beauty is pain,' as the saying goes, and this adage seems to apply well to Emilia Clarke's Games of Thrones outfits.

Well, the good news for the actress is that the show is over, so she wouldn't need to put on that uncomfortable attire ever again. And for the star's fans, this summer will also bring some excitement, as we'll see Clarke in a new Disney+ series, Secret Invasion, expected to premiere on June 21 this year.
