What to expect
This one is pitched as a ground-level look at how PC gaming actually shows up at Tokyo Game Show, and how PC development is growing in Japan. They are saying more than 30 games will get screen time, with a publisher lineup that includes Devolver Digital, Annapurna Interactive, and Ubisoft. So, a real mix of indie oddities and bigger players.
The headline teases are a little inside baseball in a fun way. There is an interview with the devs of Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War 4 — yes, they specifically say Dawn of War 4, which is the kind of name-drop that makes your eyebrows go up. We are also getting fresh updates on Killing Floor 3, a new trailer for the stylish hack-and-slash roguelike Morbid Metal, and a trailer reveal from Japanese studio Takibi Games in partnership with strategy publisher Hooded Horse. That last pairing is interesting on its own, given Hooded Horse’s recent run of well-liked strategy hits.
Bottom line: if you want a concentrated hit of PC news out of Tokyo — with a few potentially spicy reveals — this is the stream to park on.
