Did Lili Reinhart's Rumoured BF Jack Martin Just Shade Cole Sprouse?

Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse comprise half of the lead cast members on Riverdale, portraying Betty Cooper, Archie's love interest, and Jughead Jones, his best friend, respectively.

As is often the case with young actors working on the same set, they became romantically involved. And, as is also common, their relationship ended quite badly – after an on-again-off-again romance that went on for several years, they officially split up in 2020.

It seems that not only did Reinhart and Sprouse break up, but there might be more of a grudge between them than they're willing to admit publicly. Case in point: Sprouse recently participated in a podcast interview in which he attempted to present their current attitudes toward each other as amicable:

'I know we both did quite a bit of damage to each other. We're good friends now, which is awesome.'

However, that interview received a rather mean-spirited response.

On 12 April, @planbriuncut posted a now viral video clip on TikTok. The clip featured Reinhart's rumoured new boyfriend, Jack Martin, a comedian and actor of minor renown, parodying Cole Sprouse, specifically his aforementioned interview.

Martin donned a similar shirt, styled his hair to resemble Sprouse's, and smoked the way Sprouse did during the interview. The content of the TikTok video was rather mean, with Jack Martin even making fun of Sprouse's issues with his parents, for example.

The TikTok video is now popular to the point that some people who watched the original interview only did so because of Martin's parody (if YouTube comments are any indication).

Of course, it is possible that Jack Martin took a potshot at his unfortunate romantic rival entirely on his own initiative. But why would he have gone out of his way to put up such a mean parody of Sprouse on TikTok if Reinhart is supposed to be on friendly terms with her ex?

On the other hand, it is conceivable that Reinhart has not forgotten the damage Sprouse mentioned in his interview (in which he also said he was the one who ended things), and her lingering bitterness may have influenced Martin's actions.
