Days of Our Lives Adds Fresh Faces This Week — Meet the New Cast Members
Salem is shaking again: Dan Gauthier steps in as Peter Blake nearly 30 years later, while Karole Foreman returns as Judge Dabney to ignite courtroom fireworks. See who else joined Days of Our Lives this week.
Salem is not taking a holiday. Days of Our Lives is cycling in familiar faces and a couple of wild cards, including a deep-cut DiMera return and a judge ready to bang the gavel. Here’s who to watch for and when.
Dan Gauthier steps in as Peter Blake
Yes, Peter Blake. That Peter. One Life to Live alum Dan Gauthier is taking over the role last played by Jason Brooks back in 1998. Nearly three decades later, the late Stefano DiMera’s adopted son is back in the mix. Word is Gauthier pops up next week, in the December 19 episode. Consider this a notable expansion of the DiMera web.
Karole Foreman back as Judge Dabney
Karole Foreman continues her run this week as Judge Dabney, and her docket is not light. Expect movement in Jennifer’s custody push — Melissa Reeves’s Jennifer is trying to gain custody of her late daughter Abigail’s kids, and Judge Dabney is front and center for the fallout. Courtroom fireworks very much on standby.
Alice Halsey keeps stirring as Rachel Black
Alice Halsey is still on screen this week as Rachel Black, the troubled daughter of Brady Black and Kristen DiMera. She’ll share scenes with Sophia, played by Rachel Boyd. Given Rachel’s history, assume she’s not showing up to make anything easier for the adults.
Peter Porte potentially resurfaces as Dimitri Von Leuschner
Peter Porte is expected to return as Dimitri Von Leuschner, possibly sometime this week. For a quick refresher: he first played the character in 2021 on Beyond Salem, then jumped to the main show in 2023 for a six-month stint before Dimitri landed back in jail. At the time, Porte told Soap Opera Digest:
"It’s always sad when your storyline comes to an end."
"What I’ve been led to believe is there may be a future for Dimitri on the show somewhere down the line, but in what capacity, I don’t know."
Translation: keep your eyes peeled — he’s not done yet.
Wes Ramsey sighting (character TBD)
Wes Ramsey flashed in a recent promo, and yes, he is returning to the cast. The mystery: who he’s playing. No character confirmation yet, which is soap-speak for 'brace for speculation until the episode drops.'
Bottom line: fresh faces, old grudges, and at least one DiMera comeback that could blow open a few storylines. See you in court and, likely, the interrogation room.
