Daryl Dixon Season 3 Heads to Spain—Teaser, Photos, and Premiere Date Revealed

Pack your crossbow — The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is heading to Spain.
AMC has officially set the Season 3 premiere for Sunday, September 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC and AMC+, and dropped a teaser along with some first-look photos.
After washing up in France and fighting his way through whatever's left of Western Europe, Daryl (Norman Reedus) is still trying to get home — though it looks like he and Carol (Melissa McBride) are only getting farther from it. Season 2 (The Book of Carol) ended with the two reuniting, but now they're both caught in escalating conflicts between rival factions trying to shape the future of France. Season 3? Different country, same apocalypse.
This time, the show shifts to Spain, with a new lineup of cast members joining the chaos:
- Eduardo Noriega
- Óscar Jaenada
- Alexandra Masangkay
- Also appearing: Candela Saitta, Hugo Arbués, Greta Fernández, Gonzalo Bouza, and yes, Stephen Merchant.
The official synopsis promises more wandering, more walkers, and more "ever-changing and unfamiliar conditions." Translation: it's going to get weirder before it gets better.
Behind the scenes, the executive producer list remains long enough to qualify as a credits crawl: Scott M. Gimple, David Zabel, Greg Nicotero, Angela Kang, Reedus, McBride, and a pile of others, including Spain-based producers Silvia Aráez and Jesús de la Vega — a nod to the show's new setting.
