Radcliffe has moved on from Harry Potter, and fans love him for it.

Daniel Radcliffe is not going to let the entire Harry Potter remake drama get to him. The actor had the best answer when asked by ComicBook about his possible involvement in HBO Max's reported TV show based on J. K. Rowling's legendary book series.

'My understanding is that they're trying to very much start fresh, and I'm sure whoever is making [the series] will want to make their own mark on it and probably not want to have to figure out how to get old Harry to cameo in this somewhere,' the actor said. 'So I'm definitely not seeking it out in any way. But I do wish them, obviously, all the luck in the world and I'm very excited to have that torch passed. But I don't think it needs me to physically pass it.'

The news that the Harry Potter TV reboot was in the early stages of production for Max sent shockwaves through the vast Wizarding World fan community earlier this year. While some sort of Harry Potter-related project was always expected, fans didn't imagine it would be a TV remake of the beloved classic franchise and took the announcement with a grain of salt.

Moreover, the involvement of J. K. Rowling, who has been embroiled in sex- and gender-related online controversy in recent years, led some fans to call for a boycott of the project even before any details about it were made public.

In the midst of all this behind-the-scenes drama, Daniel Radcliffe's comment feels like the realm of calm and reason. He gave his blessing to whoever takes on the role of the young wizard after him and supported the project, while distancing himself from it in the most healthy and correct way.

And the Wizarding World fandom can't help but praise the 33-year-old actor for this.

'There's no better way to say it, really. Classy and to the point,' a fan commented on Reddit, echoing the sentiment of many others.

Fans agree that Radcliffe's efforts to break away from his first iconic role have been crowned with success, and he's long since ceased to be associated with Harry Potter in their minds, unlike many other child stars. Instead of focusing on the past, people are excited to see where the actor's career takes him, as he has a knack for choosing the most interesting projects.
