Watson and his team dug into a case that looked like a long-term coma but turned out to be locked-in syndrome — meaning the patient had been fully aware for more than a decade while everyone around him assumed otherwise. That includes clocking a nurse who, let’s say, did not have the patient’s best interests at heart. On the personal side, Sherlock showed up at Watson’s place in the middle of the night with no explanation. It rattled Watson enough to throw him off his game, but he and the team still managed to help the patient, and with a little nudge from Sherlock, they nabbed the nurse, too.

What this show is doing
