Isabelle blows up the con, confessing to Madam de Tourvel that Valmont was meant to play her—until real feelings derailed the scheme and she finally gave in. The Seduction Episode 6 is imminent; here’s the release date, time, and where to watch.

Episode 6 of The Seduction is up next, and yes, the show just made a couple of bold moves that are going to ripple through the rest of the season. Here is where things stand and exactly when you can press play.

Where things left off

Last episode was messy in a very deliberate way:

Isabelle, in a jealous spiral, told Madame de Tourvel that Valmont originally targeted her as part of their scheme. The twist: he actually fell for Tourvel for real. After hearing all that, Tourvel still let herself get swept up by him.

Meanwhile, Gercourt turned violent with Rosemonde when she refused to expose Isabelle's sham marriages. And as if that was not enough chaos, Isabelle learned her husband, the Marquis de Merteuil, has died — which instantly makes her a free widow. Power vacuum, meet the one person who knows exactly how to fill it.

What is The Seduction?

This is a 2025 French HBO Original that functions as a prequel to Les Liaisons Dangereuses (aka Dangerous Liaisons). It follows a younger Isabelle de Merteuil right after Valmont betrays her on their wedding day. With guidance from Madame de Rosemonde, she plays the long game in 18th-century Paris to climb the ladder and even the score with the Vicomte de Valmont.

"Marquise de Merteuil, betrayed by Valmont, embarks on a daring journey to become Paris' leading courtesan."

Given last episode's turns — Tourvel giving in after learning the truth, Gercourt's assault, and Isabelle suddenly unshackled — Episode 6 has plenty of room to push this prequel into its sharpest, coldest version of the tale we know.
