Despite all the clues, the contestants just can't seem to recognise this celebrity.

The contestants on Claim to Fame are fascinating to watch. They are isolated from any external information, including the Internet, and rely solely on clues, strategies discussed with fellow contestants, inductive reasoning, and their own knowledge of pop culture. Season 2 proved even more captivating, as many contestants cleverly manoeuvred to keep their identities hidden until the very end.

Of the four contestants remaining, Chris has been particularly intriguing. He not only drew very logical conclusions by piecing together clues but also skillfully avoided revealing his famous relative. However, the most recent episode confirmed the long-held fan theory about his identity, yet his rivals seem none the wiser.

There are some major spoilers ahead, so if you don't want to ruin the suspense, we recommend you watch the eight already-released episodes of Season 2 first!

'He is a carbon copy of a young Donny Osmond. I knew he had to be Donny's son the second they showed him on screen,' a fan said almost two months ago.

Indeed, while names like John Mayer, Elvis Presley, Jim Carrey, Elton John, and even Billy Idol were mentioned by fans and contestants, a theory emerged early on suggesting Chris was an offspring of the renowned 1970s singer Donny Osmond.

In the Season 2 premiere, Chris mentioned that his famous relative has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, that he also plays the guitar and sings, and that they bear a striking resemblance. In the subsequent episode, the clues presented were a puppy, a heart, a T-shirt, the letter 'N', an eye, a doll, an 'in' symbol, and seven other T-shirts. When put together, these clues spelt out 'Puppy Love Teen Idol In The Seventies'.

Episode 6 revealed that Chris's relative was an icon in the 1970s, and Episode 7 disclosed that he was 65 and born in Utah.

Though these clues are more than enough to make Chris's real identity unmistakably clear, the contestants still couldn't put the pieces together. The primary clue from episode 8, which ultimately affirmed that Chris is Donny Osmond's son, didn't make a difference either. It stated that the celebrity had triumphed in Season 9 of Dancing With The Stars. Indeed, it was Osmond, partnered with Kym Johnson, who clinched the title.

Is the other contestants' lack of familiarity with his relative going to be the key advantage propelling Chris to victory? We'll see when the final two episodes are broadcast on ABC on 28 August.
