City Primeval's Biggest Problem Every Justified Fan Agrees OnThe last 10 minutes may not directly relate to the events of all eight episodes of City Primeval, but they effectively illustrate the evolution of Raylan's character, his moral dilemmas, and the fact that he needs to confront his past. Sudden Reveal
'Only one person on Earth can draw Raylan out of retirement,' another fan said.
You will probably have guessed by now who that might be. Walton Coggins makes an appearance as Boyd Crowder, still alive and ready to go on a new journey. While being transferred to another facility, Raylan's longtime frenemy manages to escape just as the Deputy Marshal has decided to retire and focus on raising his daughter.
Will Timothy Olyphant's character return to his Deputy duties and his past? Sadly, only the writers have the answer. It would have been a total waste to reintroduce Boyd if there were no sequel in the works, and Olyphant seems to be enthusiastic.
'I can only tell you from my point of view, that if we are so lucky to get to do more, I feel like we could bring any cast member back from either incarnation of the show,' the actor shared prior to the WGA strike. 'The world expanded. The writers deserve a tremendous amount of credit for taking this big swing.'
