Thor vs. Wanda. Fans have argued this one for years. Chris Hemsworth just weighed in, and he did it in two words.

Hemsworth picks a winner (and he barely blinked)

While signing autographs, Hemsworth got hit with the question by content creator Sami Haidary: who takes the fight, Thor or Scarlet Witch? He chuckled, then answered with the kind of shrug you can hear through a video:

"Probably Wanda."

Olsen already called her shot

Elizabeth Olsen said as much on late-night TV last year. Asked who was the most powerful Avenger between her and Thor, she did not hesitate:

"I think I am."

She added that the prevailing theory favors Wanda in a straight-up clash, and after the host noted Wanda’s bag of tricks outclasses thunder and a hammer, she doubled down:

"I think I could probably somehow manipulate and go inside his body and do the same thing he does."

Where the power scale sits now

Both characters have scaled up a lot since their MCU debuts, but Wanda’s ceiling shot into a different stratosphere once she unlocked her full potential. Thor still brings absurd strength, storm-level lightning, and elite combat instincts that chew through crowds. Wanda, though, graduated from telekinesis, restraints, and mind games to full-on reality bending — and then kept climbing after studying the Darkhold.

Thor is confirmed to return in Avengers: Doomsday, and the expectation is another bump to his power set. Wanda’s next appearance remains a mystery for now.
