Chris Evans' Mom Had the Best Reaction to His 'Sexiest Man Alive' Win

Christopher Evans is one of the most recognizable actors in the world today, best known for playing Captain America in the MCU, from The First Avenger (2011) to Avengers: Endgame (2019).

What's more, Evans has been named the 'Sexiest Man Alive' by People magazine in 2022, which is no small feat.

Alas, Chris Evans' personal life is very much uneventful for a high-profile Hollywood actor, particularly an actor capable of winning such a title. Chris is now 41 but has never been married. In fact, there is not much reliable information about his romantic relationships, as it looks like the actor prefers to keep his personal affairs under wraps.

Currently, Evans appears to be dating actress Alba Baptista, but we have no idea what she thinks about him winning the 'Sexiest Man Alive' title. However, we do know how Chris' mom reacted to that news — and that was a pretty funny reaction, actually.

Upon receiving the title in 2022, Chris Evans touched upon what his mom's reaction to it would be: 'She's proud of everything I do, but this is something she can really brag about [...] Our family will be beside themselves.'

And it turns out the actor was entirely right, as in his 2023 interview with People, Evans confirmed that his mom is still very happy with her son's achievement.

'She still does a lot of bragging. It's going to be a sad day when I lose the title,' the actor said, 'Heavy lies the crown. It's not easy.'

But of course, Chris Evans' mom will have plenty of other reasons to be proud of her son even after he loses the title one day. Besides trying his hand at new things, like being a director or performing on Broadway, Chris continues to be showered with invitations to star in high-profile movie projects.

Most recently, he starred in Ghosted, an action-comedy which releases on Apple TV on April 21, as well as in Red One, an action-adventure Christmas film expected to premiere this holiday season.
